Choosing your walima dress

The walima is lighter and softer than the barat. Brides often choose ivory, champagne, gold, silver, powder blue or blush, with pearls, sequins and fine dabka instead of the barat’s heavy zardozi. For a winter walima, a deeper jewel tone in velvet is just as beautiful.
